Went in with pretty low expectations, honestly not sure what to expect from a story built around Edgeworth outside the courtroom. That uncertainty didn't last long. The character dynamics carried the game, the back and forth with Gumshoe, the introduction of Kay Faraday, and the moments with Franziska all gave Edgeworth way more depth than the mainline trilogy had room for. The new Logic system was a highlight too, connecting pieces of information together felt satisfying in a way that was distinct from the usual evidence presenting format.
Came out the other side genuinely surprised by how much this one won me over. What started as a "let's see what this is" ended up being a great character piece for Edgeworth, and a solid setup for what Investigations 2 would build on
