Terms of Service

These Terms are between you and retroshelf. By accessing or using retroshelf, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use retroshelf.

retroshelf is not intended for children under 13. By using retroshelf, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and can enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Use accurate information, keep your password secure, and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or harm retroshelf.

"Content" means anything you submit, post, upload, create, or make available through retroshelf, including reviews, comments, shelves, profile information, avatars, journal entries, photos, ratings, game activity, and other materials.

Content you post on retroshelf may be public and visible to other users or visitors. You are responsible for your Content and for making sure you have the rights needed to submit it.

You retain ownership of Content you submit to retroshelf. By submitting Content, you grant retroshelf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for formatting or display, display, distribute, index, analyze, and make your Content available as needed to operate, improve, moderate, and promote retroshelf.

This license includes the right to display your username, avatar, and related profile information with your Content. If you delete Content or request account deletion, we will remove it from active display where reasonably practicable, but copies may remain for a limited time in backups, caches, logs, moderation records, or where others have copied or shared it.

You agree not to use retroshelf to:

• harass, threaten, impersonate, abuse, or harm others;
• post hateful, illegal, sexually exploitative, or infringing material;
• spam, manipulate activity, or interfere with the service;
• upload malware or attempt unauthorized access;
• collect personal information from other users without permission;
• scrape, harvest, bulk export, or mine retroshelf data to build or improve a competing service without our permission.

We may remove Content, limit visibility, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access if we believe Content or behavior violates these Terms, creates legal or security risk, or harms retroshelf or its community.

retroshelf includes game, device, cover art, play activity, achievement, and other metadata that may come from users, public sources, third-party services, or automated imports, including IGDB.com and MobyGames.com. MobyGames-sourced data is credited as "Data by MobyGames.com."

This information may be incomplete, unavailable, inaccurate, delayed, or subject to third-party rights. Third-party services, data sources, and links are not controlled by retroshelf and may have their own terms and policies.

retroshelf is provided as is and as available. Some parts of the service may be experimental, unavailable, interrupted, delayed, or may not work as expected.

retroshelf may add, change, limit, or remove features over time. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the applicable terms before you choose to use or purchase them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, retroshelf disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. retroshelf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date on this page. Your continued use of retroshelf after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
