First session logged on Retroshelf! I don't get tons of time every day to game, so I jump on when I can for little sessions, a level here or there. I'm probably 2/3 of the way through Rayman 2 already, so will be fun to log my progress to completion. It's one I never played as a kid but I've been really enjoying it so far.

Welcome welcome, really happy to have you here! Same for me, not as much time to game as I'd like, so short games are usually preferred. Currently grinding Metroid as my retro game and Dark Souls because a friend really wanted me to try Elden Ring but that was wayyy too long for me, so Dark Souls felt like a more reasonable time to beat (it will still take me forever though haha).

Thank you! Great to be a part of the community. Yes I can relate! I've never played Metroid or Dark Souls. Which Metroid game would you recommend to start with? I just struggle to commit the time to more modern games. The fact I can boot up a PS1 game immediately, then use my save states to get straight back into the action, makes it so much easier to get game time in. That being said, I'll definitely be hitting GTA 6 in a few weeks!

Metroid Zero Mission is my first one, and it’s been fun! Castlevania is one of my favorite series, so I’m just now learning why "Metroidvania" is a thing. I can see how they’re so similar and different at the same time
