Finally beat it at around 40 hrs in. Very fun puzzle/battle game. The story "exists" but that's not why you're playing. The achievements are mostly "play the game and do all the things", the only ones you have to grind for are "Reach lvl 10 with each character". I had to replay the first chapter on a new save because the achievements are missable but it's all good I guess.
I played it 50/50 MagicX One 35 and RP Mini v2. Played vertical on the One 35 and square aspect dual screen on the RP Mini v2. Something I noticed only just recently is that the game feels right with the screens stacked. Something like Sonic Rush accounts for the empty space between the screens on DS and implements that gap into the game. If you stack the screen without a gap on Sonic Rush its pretty rough. Might and Magic however is super fluid, the characters are always where they're supposed to be even when moving from one screen to another it looks totally natural like the gap doesnt even exist.
Overall, good game, worth a play if you like battle puzzle games.

I played this back in the day on my modded DS. Never even touched the story, just did quickplay. Decided to give it a real go. Its a match 3 puzzle battler. Playing on my RP Mini v2 and you can't even tell it wasnt designed for a single screen device. Gonna try it in multiplayer when I can.
