Streets of Rage 2First beat em' up game! Definitely abused save states and cheesed a few boss fights but had a blast. Took me a minute to find out about the right-right-attack move which made everything a million times easier.
SteamWorld Dig 2What a blast! This was such a fun game from the beginning to the end. Controls were super crisp and mechanics were well designed and introduced at the right times so gameplay never gets stale. Not retro, but wanted something more modern to try out my Odin 3’s screen - did not disappoint!
Parasite EveThis game was so fun! Really interesting story and it aged fairly well. The combat mechanics got a bit stale by the end, but the final bosses made up for it since they were interesting and fun. Another PSX classic crossed off of my backlog 🤠

Pokémon FireRed VersionFireRed slaps if you wanna experience Gen 1 with modern mechanics. It has nice QoL stuff like trainer rematches and better status conditions, plus breeding and egg moves. I’d recommend it if you’re chasing nostalgia or just want something fun and classic. Some mechanics feel a little dated next to HGSS, but overall it still holds up really well.
