Review

I got the Classic as somewhat of an impulse buy because I wanted a vertical pokemon machine and it was cheap at 150 dollars (about 125 chfs).

I took the 6 buttons version because why not and I was seeing a lot of post on twitter and youtube about Saturn hidden masterpieces.

I was a bit hesitant at first. It is quite a bit bigger than I expected and the plastic made it feel 'toyish'.

I was familiar with the screen as it is the same as the RPMini V2. It is gorgeous and crisp. Locked at 60Hz but I don't care about BFI or other stuff. I played all my lige at 60 fps and I seldom up it even on my gaming pc. I am a bit of a special case for that.

Gaming on it ws a bit awkward at first, the buttons are clacky indeed, though they are quieter after months of use. It took a while to get used to the disposition. Russ guide helped though.

It quickly grew on me though. The screen is gorgeous and the speaker, while mono, sounds so good.

It is an absolute joy to play everything up to PSX. Is it overkill? Yes. What is the point of being an adult if you cannot splurge though?

I rarely put it down. It lives comfortably in my pocket or my bag and is so easy to pick up and play. The battery life is amazing.

The two negative points are :

1) the buttons, they could be larger.

2) the gpu, it is quite weak indeed.

It is my most beloved device though as my childhood lives in it.

P.S. I will add that you can debloat it and optimize with Shizuku, Shizutools or Canta and Macrodroid.

P.P.S I would reconmand the SleepManager app, it turns a great battery life into an awesome one.
