beta update #02 / the numbers so far
Nearly two weeks ago we shared the first beta numbers. You've kept building shelves and logging what you play, and things have grown faster than we expected. So this time we're leading with you. Here's where the community stands today:
You've now tracked 847 different games between you, across 34 different handhelds. Last update those numbers were 258 and 25.
Together you've logged over 1,340 hours of play time, across 818 sessions.
Most of it came in through our tracker plugins:
- muOS: 965 hours across 346 sessions
- Android: 139 hours across 99 sessions
- OnionOS: 88 hours across 146 sessions
- SpruceOS: 28 hours across 210 sessions
Here's where those hours landed, by handheld, with the games on top of each:
- RG-40XXV: 486 hours, led by Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong Country
- RG35XX Pro: 361 hours, led by Ace Attorney Investigations
- Miyoo Mini Plus: 103 hours, led by Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Pokémon FireRed
- Odin 2: 74 hours, led by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Retroid Pocket Mini V2: 53 hours, led by The Legend of Zelda and Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes
- RG Cube XX: 49 hours, led by Pokémon Emerald
- Retroid Pocket Flip 2: 44 hours, led by Bully and Titan Quest
- RG-35XX Plus: 39 hours, led by True Lies and Doom Troopers: Mutant Chronicles
RetroNick is your new reigning collector with 209 games, dethroning Mooncheez360. They also logged more play time than anyone else: 240 sessions and nearly 490 hours tracked.
What we shipped
A native Android tracker plugin. If you game on an Android handheld like a Retroid Pocket or an Odin, you can now track play sessions automatically. Set it up here.
Compare handhelds head to head. New device comparison pages put any two handhelds side by side: specs, emulation grades by console generation, and community reviews, with clear win markers.
Community and You feeds. The feed now splits into two tabs. Community shows what everyone's playing and is open to logged-out visitors too, so you can share it. You is your own timeline, and it's where you fix any synced sessions that didn't match a game. There are filters on the community feed to fold in your own sessions or show shorter ones.
Email notifications. You can now get an email when someone likes or comments on your activity, follows you, or when your handheld syncs new sessions. Every type is its own toggle in settings, and there's a one-click unsubscribe, so you stay in control of what lands in your inbox.
Fix a mismatched session. Synced a session and it matched the wrong game, or no game at all? You can now re-match or change the game on any session, and there's a device-sessions screen that lists every raw upload from your handheld so nothing gets stuck.
Most of the day-to-day still lives in our Discord, so come hang out: https://discord.gg/rJG24TH9JR
